MedTech company, EzeRx has joined hands with the Himachal Pradesh Government to tackle the anemia crisis. The company showcased its flagship product, ‘EzeCheck,’ the ICMR-validated non-invasive hemoglobin screening device, at a health camp held on January 15th at Civil Hospital, Solan, Himachal Pradesh.

The unveiling of the device took place in the presence of Shri Sanjay Awasthi, chief parliamentary secretary, Government of Himachal Pradesh. EzeRx also initiated mass screening at the camp at Arki, testing over 750+ individuals on the first day—a substantial step towards the collective goal of making Himachal Pradesh anemia-free, the company added in a statement.

Partha Pratim Das Mahapatra, founder and CEO of, EzeRx said, “EzeCheck, the world’s first non-invasive hemoglobin screening device, has already made strides in 17+ states. With 23 lakh+ screening, we are poised to make a significant impact in Himachal Pradesh. In this challenging hilly terrain where transportation is difficult, residents face numerous obstacles in getting blood tests. Embarking on this journey with the Himachal Pradesh Government is a testament to EzeRx's commitment to revolutionising healthcare."

Anemia is a prevalent health challenge in India, especially among women aged 15-49. This initiative is a visionary effort led by Honorable Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, in collaboration with EzeRx. With an alarming overall prevalence of 57.6 per cent, focusing on vulnerable groups such as adolescent girls, pregnant women, and children under 5, both EzeRx and the Himachal Pradesh government are committed to early detection and a healthier future. EzeCheck was deployed in the state during 2022-23 after rigorous validation, these life-saving devices are now being introduced across Himachal Pradesh to effectively combat anemia.
