Ranjith Boyanapalli, a former Flipkart vice president founded start-up, Flash has raised $6.7 million in funding in a Pre-Series A round. The funding was led by Blume Ventures and the company's existing such as PeerCapital White Venture Capital and Empasis Ventures among others.

Boyanapalli founded Flash in 2022 to enhance the post-shopping experience of frequent shoppers. The app was launched in April 2023 to help power shoppers. The start-up claims that it has over 8 million emails and customers already placed over 1 million orders spanning over 1,000 brands using the company's email IDs.

Flash creates a digital identity for users with a single email, allowing for easier purchase processing, connection with vendors, and frictionless rewards programs for customers. It facilitates users to bring in orders from multiple Gmail accounts directly in its app. Users with an @flash.co email address can continue ordering online without having to sift through hundreds of promotional emails. It also encourages users to order more by giving them rewards in some segment-specific and brand-specific categories.

"From processing our very first email to crossing the 8 Million mark in five months is a testament to the trust and support of our users," said Boyanapalli, CEO and founder of Flash.

Bengluru-based start-up will dedicate the capital infusion to strategic hires and infrastructure enhancements. It aims to widen operations in the country with an eye to entering the international market by early 2024.

Boyanapalli's start-up had secured $5.8 million in a seed round led by Global Founders Capital (GFC) and so far it has raised $12.5 million of capital infusion. Some of the prominent funds and investors such as Venture Capital, PeerCapital, Emphasis Venture, Soma Capital, Zinal Growth, Binny Bansal, Kunal Shah, and Sujeet Kumar are associated with the start-up.
