BharatPe's co-founder and managing director Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri Jain is planning to launch a fantasy sports app called CrickPe. The new app will be launched through his venture Third Unicorn, Entrackr reported.

The report stated that the company (Third Unicorn) was working on the app for the past four months and has decided to launch it in the upcoming weeks. 

The app has reportedly been in closed beta mode and will soon open to the public.

Last month, Grover announced its plans to "get some work done in 2023" and unveiled details about the Third Unicorn through a LinkedIn post. The post explained that the new venture will neither use any VC capital nor have an unnecessary board of directors. The post further explained that the venture will not have more than 50 employees and a Mercedes will be given upon completing five years in the company.

As per the Third Unicorn Linked Page, the start-up has Aseem Ghavri as its co-founder and handful of employees in place. The bio of the page reads "Next TODU-FODU Thing. Quietly and Peacefully building a market-shaking business. Rest remains the billion-dollar question!"

Ashneer Grover was seen in Shark Tank Season 1 as one of the Sharks and since then he has rarely been out of the limelight in the past year. Post the reality show, his very public tussle with the BharatPe board before his ejection was the talk of the town. Recently, he also debuted as an author, having penned down ‘Doglapan: The Hard Truth about Life and Start-Ups’.

While the new venture is still in beta mode, it will be interesting to see how CrickPe establishes itself in the already-established fantasy sports apps industry.
