o9 Solutions announced its strategic partnership with the Telangana government. It also announced that it will develop a specialised 'Supply Chain Skills Academy' in Hyderabad.

This will facilitate a talent hub to meet global companies' growing demand for skilled supply chain management employees. 

The Hyderabad hub will be used for expanding the research and development (R&D), product management and global delivery operations in India. The work will also include implementation and customer support functions. 

Chakri Gottemukkala, co-founder and CEO of o9 Solutions, said, “Hyderabad is the right place for o9 India’s next phase of growth. We are thrilled to be starting o9 Hyderabad immediately.” 

“Chakri and Sanjiv Sidhu, o9’s co-founders, are not just exceptional entrepreneurs and foremost experts in supply chain technology, they also have deep Hyderabadi roots. As such, we look forward to partnering with them closely to help make Hyderabad and Telangana a hub for delivering world-class supply chain talent to global companies,” Kaivakuntla Taraka Rama Rao (KTR), minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Industries and Commerce, Information Technology, Electronics and Communications of Telangana, India said. 

o9 Solutions, founded in 2009, is an AI-powered software platform that is used by manufacturers and retailers for supply chain management. The company currently has around 1600 employees in India and operates 17 offices throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific and India. 

o9 Solutions achieved the unicorn status in 2020. Recently, it raised $116 million from General Atlantic which has now increased its valuation to $3.7 million. The tech start-up has raised a total of $533 million.
