The Uttar Pradesh (UP) government has approved and registered a food and grocery-based business-to-business (B2B) start-up Capsico E-Commerce Private Limited, founded by Aman Sharma, a second-year bachelor of commerce (B.Com) student at the University of Lucknow, Hindustan Times reported.

Aman founded the company in his 12th standard in 2020. Realising the quotidian problems of producing raw materials by the hotel and restaurant owners, the 21 years old student later introduced a B2B model of the company. He is now aiming to set up a warehouse near Gorakhpur.

Talking about his latest venture Sharma said, “I am hoping to get Rs 7.5 lakh for marketing and office expenses from LU. I will arrange around Rs 20 lakh from family and other sources,” Aman said

“My company is set up on an innovative food delivery model as a B2B (Business to Business) platform where it will provide raw material and other business requirements to restaurants and retail stores. The team members include Vishal Sharma, NC Thomas and Shailesh Gupta,” he added.

He also thanked the vice chancellor, professor Alok Kumar Rai and professor Amritanshu Shukla, the director of the incubation cell, for all the support.

The University of Lucknow has also extended its support towards this endeavour. Amritanshu Shukla, the director of the incubation cell, said that the university would put up all efforts to support and nurture the start-up ecosystem. He also claimed that a few more incubatees will soon get registered.

“To promote innovations, incubation, entrepreneurship and start-ups ecosystem in the region, the LU has already established a full-fledged innovation and technology transfer enterprise, Navankur Foundation, as a section-8 company,” he added.
