Shruti Ranjan will be taking charge of the logistics start-up's product, data and design functions
Porter, an on-demand logistics start-up, announced a restructuring of its leadership team. The company's co-founder Uttam Digga took charge as its Chief Executive Officer, while Pranav Goel is now executive vice chairman.
Shruti Ranjan Satpathy has assumed the role of chief product and technology officer.
"Throughout our journey, we have achieved remarkable milestones, positioning Porter as one of India's leading logistics companies. We now embark on a new chapter of exponential growth and expansion and there could be no better time than now to make some strategic leadership role realignments," Goel stated.
He added that as COO, Digga guided the company through challenging times. Hence, it was crucial that he played a stronger operational role in Porter.
"With my new position as executive vice chairman for Porter, I will be supporting Uttam and the leadership team in driving financial metrics and shaping our strategy," Goel added.
Goel, Digga and Vikas Choudhary founded Porter in 2014, by launching an on-demand marketplace for trucks, bikes, and movers and packers. Today, the company provides a spectrum of intra-city and inter-city logistical services. It claimed to have serviced over 1.3 crore customers across 19 Indian cities and has a workforce of 2,600 employees.
