Energy solutions company CEF Group has announced the 'Urban Farming' initiative, which is aimed at ushering in a new era of organic farming and transforming urban spaces into thriving green sanctuaries. It is gearing up to onboard and train 5,000 skilled gardeners to foster employment opportunities, promote environmental sustainability and ensure community well-being.

The initiative will offer better air and food quality, foster environmental awareness, advocate improved health and wellness, and stimulate economic growth by creating full-time and part-time employment opportunities, the company stated.

Speaking about this initiative, Maninder Singh, founder and CEO of CEF Group, said, "Our immediate objective entails engaging 15,000 households during the initial year of this expansion. Additionally, our plan involves training and employing 5,000 gardeners, which will help bridge the gap in skilled horticulturists within the Delhi-NCR and other metropolitan regions. These gardeners will also serve as advocates for green practices, fostering community engagement and spreading awareness about the benefits of urban farming.”

“Our ambitious expansion plan promises several advantages, from improved air quality to socio-economic benefits through local employment, skill development, and strengthened community bonds,” he added

CEF Group has waste processing plants coming up in Srinagar, Ahmedabad, Jammu, Muzaffarnagar, and various other locations in the country, and four plants outside India as well. It delivers reliable, clean, green, and smart business models for the global waste processing sector.
