PhonePe's Indus Appstore in collaboration with Start-up India has announced the launch of the Indus Appstore Emerging Start-up Awards.

This initiative, set to run from January 16th to March 30th, 2024, will identify and celebrate the most innovative and impactful start-ups across various key sectors, including Fintech, e-commerce, social impact, HealthTech, AgriTech, and gaming.

Start-ups registered under the Start-up India initiative, operational for at least one year, and having their applications listed on the Indus Appstore Developer Platform, are eligible to participate.

The awards are aimed at identifying start-ups that demonstrate exceptional innovation, potential for growth, and a positive impact on the market.

This initiative features a prize pool of Rs 12 lakhs Rs, with Rs 2 lakhs Rs allocated to the winner in each category. Beyond the financial rewards, winners will secure direct entry into the Indus Accelerate Program - which brings an opportunity for Developers to cut the clutter and make their Apps standout amongst the crowded App markets, by providing them higher visibility, optimised user acquisition avenues within the store and ability to market and build their identity within the entrepreneurial community.

Speaking on the initiative Akash Dongre, co-founder/CPO of Indus Appstore, said, "The awards are not just about recognizing talent; they are a testament to our commitment to empowering start-ups to build for India."

Speaking on the latest season of Indus Appstore Emerging Start-up Awards, Aastha Grover, head at  Start-up India, said, ‘Start-ups that embrace innovation are better equipped to adapt to market volatility, identify new trends, and seize emerging business opportunities.”

How to Apply

Interested start-ups can apply by uploading their app on the Indus Appstore and completing the required questionnaire on the Start-up India website. The winners will be announced on 30th March.
