Mumbai-based Indian property tech start-up Zapkey has bagged a Pre-Series A investment from DSP Group Family Office. DLF Family Office, Blume Founders Fund, Alkem Labs Family, Aprameya Radhakrishna (co-founder of Koo) and Sriti Srinivasan (MD, Kotak Investment Advisors) also joined the round.

The company will utilise the funding in order to expand its business operations across new geographies. Additionally, it will deploy the money for its technical advancements.

However, it did not reveal the exact amount of investment, it bagged from the funding round.

Prior to this, the start-up raised $2 million in a funding round, last year. The round was led by Nikhil Kamath and Abhijit Pai-led Guhas Proptech.

Founded in 2020 by Shubhankar Dongre, Sandeep Reddy and Raja Seetharaman, Zapkey  works as a  home sales guarantee platform. It has also claimed to provide guaranteed home sales to its customers within three months after listing.

Talking about the fundraising round, Dongre said, “We couldn’t be more excited to have DSP join our cap table. Easily one of the most powerful names in Indian finance, their access, and support is only going to help compound our growth as we open new markets.”

Talking about their decision to invest, Shuchi Kothari from DSP, said,  “The pedigree of the founders of Zapkey gave us maximum confidence to invest. Add to that the size of the total addressable market and the product market fit that they’ve achieved over the past year checked all our boxes.”
