Travel tech start-up Teleport has announced the closure of its pre-seed round, where it raised $500,000 in equity funding. This is in addition to the $100,000 grant it received from PeakXV (Sequoia) Spark program in early 2023.  

Entrepreneurs like Kunal Shah, Vidit Aatrey, Kishore Ganji, as well as companies like Appreciate Capital, Superb Capital, 888vc and FAAD Network were part of this funding round. The first investment injection will be utilised to develop cutting-edge technology to enhance services, the company said in a release.  

The platform allows travellers to streamline the visa application process that features automated flows, easily guided steps, and data-led decisions to maximise visa approval rates. The company has gained the trust of over 100 travel agents and travel companies, facilitating seamless visa processing for their businesses. The platform targets to process 1,00,000 visas within the year 2023.
