Hyderabad-headquartered aviation sector-focussed technology start-up ZestIoT has raised $6.5 million in its Series A funding round led by IvyCap Ventures and Loyal VC. 

The company will utilise the newly-generated fund to build its technology platform. Additionally, it will spend to hire more skilled staff to strengthen its team. It will focus to expand its business across multiple new markets. 

Addressing the fundraising round, Amit Sukheja, the chief executive officer (CEO) of ZestIoT, said, “With growing demand from the aviation and manufacturing sectors, we see a strong push for automating operations and empowering the workforce for smarter decision-making. With the help of advancements in sensors, edge computing, and various communication technologies, we foresee a new wave of innovative use cases being developed by our customers using our platform,”

Founded in 2016 by Sukheja, ZestIoT is a deep tech platform that helps the aviation ecosystem to digitise last-mile operations. The company has claimed in a statement that its GroundRadar platform brings airlines, aircraft and handlers together to collaborate and increase aircraft turnaround along with maintaining operational efficiency and safety. It has also claimed to manage more than 600 flights and equipment and 9,000 personnel daily.
