Mumbai-based Sapio Analytics, a deep tech company focused on citizen livelihood enhancement, has raised Rs 3 crores in a recent funding round led by ah! Ventures Angel Platform and ah! Ventures Angel Fund.

The start-up plans to use the capital to enhance its capabilities in empathetic generative AI,  leading to the improvement of its bots that interact with citizens and extract untapped information about them, eventually guiding them toward the right jobs and skills. Part of the funds shall also be utilised towards activating its 56 physical centers spread across hotspots across India.

The company has claimed to partner with the government of India, the government of Maharashtra, the government of West Bengal, the government of Uttar Pradesh, the government of Kerala, the government of Delhi, the government of Telangana and others. Through these partnerships, the company gets credible and trusted access to citizens.

In a statement, Ashwin Srivastava, CEO of Sapio Analytics, claimed that the company has onboarded more than 6.5 million citizens and targets to have 100 million citizens by the end of FY 23-24.  It has initiated the onboarding of clients who wish to hire and/or retain their large workforce, with clients including Everest Fleet, Eagle Security, Secure Debt, and The Leela, among others.

“We have 3 core pillars of innovation- data extraction technologies powered by deep learning-based bots, data analytics technologies powered by a combination of various machine learning models, and data privacy technologies aimed at ensuring the highest standards of privacy of data are followed. With these innovations and our physical presence through our partnerships, we hope to become the largest workforce recruitment and nurturing company in India through our product called Samarth. In addition, there are grand plans for expansion beyond Samarth. We are raising more funds through further rounds”, he added.

Addressing the investment, Harsh Deodhar, Deal Lead -Sapio and Venture Partner - ah! Ventures said, “Sapio Analytics has paved an innovative and constructive pathway in the workforce recruitment industry. With over 6.5 Million Indians, the founders have successfully cracked a model helping one of the leading business and government organizations in this country. This fundraiser would help the team in enhancing their product capabilities using AI and activate their 50- physical stores. In every sense, the team is capable of bringing about a necessary change at a massive scale."
