Newtral.io, a climate-tech company that develops enterprise sustainability software, has raised Rs 6.4 million in a funding round led by PedalStart, a Gurugram-based start-up accelerator focused on supporting early-stage start-ups.

The fund infusion will fuel Newtral.io's growth and accelerate the development of its product portfolio focused on carbon accounting and sustainability reporting needs.

Commenting on the partnership, Avi Chudasama, Co-founder and CEO of Newtral.io, said, "We are thrilled to partner with PedalStart as we embark on our mission to help enterprises achieve net zero. This funding represents a major milestone accelerating our growth trajectory and enabling us to meet the increasing demand for sustainable solutions in global markets".

Leveraging the power of the Newtral.io platform, enterprises can effectively measure their carbon emissions, identify areas for emissions reduction, create custom dashboards, and seamlessly adopt sustainable practices. Newtral.io's platform has garnered significant recognition for its versatility and effectiveness, attracting diverse organisations with a sustainability focus.

Dr. Sudarshan Dutta, advisor and carbon expert at Newtral.io stated that the company's approach of helping organisations go beyond carbon accounting data points and dashboard, setting reduction targets, and helping them solve behavioural challenges can be a great value addition for sustainability teams.

Accurate Data collection (specifically at the Scope 3 level) and actionable insights have been a major challenge for organisations regarding climate action. Newtral.io is solving these challenges with its scalable technology offerings.

Anuraag Paul, co-founder and CMO of Newtral.io, added that by delivering comprehensive carbon accounting solutions, the start-up empowers its customers to achieve their sustainability objectives while navigating a dynamic regulatory landscape.
