Singapore-based HR tech platform HireQuotient raised top-up funding from Binny Bansal, co-founder of Flipkart.

This development came after HireQuotient raised $1.8 million in seed funding in December 2021. The funding round saw the participation of Bansal, Sumant Sinha, chairman of ReNew Power, Mohan Lakhamraju, founder and CEO of Great Learning, Sujeet Kumar, co-founder of Udaan, Kunal Shah, co-founder of Cred, Nimesh Kampani, co-founder and CEO of Trica at that time.

With the new top-up fund, HireQuotient seeks to accelerate its business in the US market. Additionally, it will hire four go-to-market advisors including Robert McNutt, chief technology officer of Forescout Technologies, Alberto Velarde, vice president of Mastercard LAC, Mary Shea, vice president of Global Innovation Evangelist and Outreach as well as Rissa L, vice president for strategy and business development at Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits.

Talking about the latest top-up funding, Smarthveer Sidana, co-founder of the company said, “Few things are as important for a business as trust and belief, and the latest round of funding is a testimony to the confidence our current investor, Binny Bansal, has placed in the vision and mission of HireQuotient. I am also proud of the team that we have built and honoured to join hands with our 4 Go-To-Market Advisors. The opportunity is massive and we are ramping up to create more impact. SalesTech and MarketingTech have seen massive disruption in the pain the past 2 decades - Hiring Tech will experience this in the coming decade. I .am confident that my team will deliver exceptional results.”

Addressing the decision to invest in the company, Flipkart's Bansal said, "HireQuotient has been scaling its business at a tremendous pace over the last year. I believe they have the right vision to keep them on this trajectory. It's truly good to see how Smarth and his leadership team are building a company which has been focusing on culture from Day 1. I am excited to deepen my partnership with them."
