India's homegrown Paytm Payments Bank Limited (PPBL), has announced enabling convenient payments for car parking at Delhi AIIMS Hospital using FASTag. With this, visitors can pay digitally, for a hassle-free parking experience.

The Bank has partnered with Dhiraj Contractors, the authorized contractor managing the AIIMS parking, in order to curb congestion and queues at the hospital parking. The RFID technology used in FASTags allows automatic detection and deduction of applicable parking fees, for a smoother flow of vehicles in and out of the parking facility.

Surinder Chawla, MD & CEO, Paytm Payments Bank said, "As the largest issuers of FASTags in the country, we are committed to drive innovation in urban mobility. We are happy to bring FASTag-based parking to AIIMS, Delhi, which is one of the busiest hospitals in the country. Now, visitors can experience seamless payments with Paytm FASTag and simply drive out of the parking area."

Speaking on the partnership, Dhiraj Gupta, CEO of Dhiraj Contractors, said “People entering the AIIMS hospital parking would be able to pay digitally via FASTag with near free flow movement in and out of the parking lot. Now, vehicle owners won't have to wait in queue to pay the parking fee as it will get deducted automatically like it is done at tolls at highways and expressways. We believe in ensuring customer delight by providing world class technology for them.”
