One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, the financial services company and the pioneer of QR and mobile payments, announced that its subsidiary Paytm Paymen Services Limited has introduced EMV 3DS upgrades for Visa cards. With this, the company has become the pioneer in implementing EMV 3DS for Visa cards across its existing merchant partners. 

EMV 3DS is now new global protocol for authentication of card transactions and a mandatory requirement for card payments to make them more secure and effective. It can migrate large volumes of transactions to EMV 3DS for its existing merchant partners and also help merchants to transition to EMV 3DS for quicker authentication and enhanced transaction security, at no extra cost. It provides better authentication rate, greater security, reduces false declines and offers 10X data exchanged with the issuer which reduces frauds as well.
