BharatPe, a leading Indian fintech company, has appointed new team heads for data security, internal audit, and compliance. These appointments come as part of BharatPe's ongoing efforts to strengthen standards of security and compliance for its customers and partners.

Ambuj Bhalla has been appointed as chief information security officer (CISO). He brings about two decades of experience in the field of technology with a strong focus on information technology.

The internal audit team will be headed by Rahul Bhatia, a seasoned professional with over 17 years of experience in the domain of governance, risk and compliance (GRC) in the financial services sector.

Finally, Ravinder Oberoi has been appointed as the head of the compliance team. Oberoi brings over 23 years of experience in regulatory compliance.

"As we focus on getting initial public offering (IPO) ready, it becomes essential for us to ensure that data privacy, cyber security, corporate governance and compliance are given the highest priority. I am pleased to welcome these experienced professionals to the BharatPe team," said BharatPe founder Shashvat Nakrani in a  media statement.

Overall, these appointments aim to demonstrate BharatPe's commitment to maintaining standards of security and compliance and to protecting the interests of its customers and partners. These appointments are said to help in ensuring the safety and security of the customers' data, internal processes and compliance with the laws.
