Days after the departure from the fashion e commerce brand Nykaa, Arvind Agarwal joins PayU as the new chief financial officer ( CFO).

The company confirmed his appointment by saying, "We are excited to welcome Arvind to our leadership team at this opportune time with the company heralding a new growth journey."

"His experience will prove to be invaluable in furthering PayU's vision of creating a full stack digital financial services platform in India to serve all financial needs of our customers through technology," the statement further added.

Talking about his new responsibility, Arvind said, “I am excited about PayU’s vision of creating a full-stack digital financial services platform for India. Both PayU and the overall digitization wave in India are at a critical growth juncture, so this is a fantastic prospect for expanding my learnings in the digital economy. I look forward to being a part of this journey as we further expand our presence to address the country’s massive fintech opportunity in a customer-centric, profitable and sustainable way.”

In an attempt to pursue his opportunities in the Indian start-up ecosystem, Arvind left Nykaa a few days ago. He served the company for two years as the chief financial officer (CFO).

Addressing his resignation Falguni Nayar, founder and CEO of Nykaa, said, “Arvind deserves kudos for the critical role he has played in Nykaa’s emergence as a listed and profitable start-up. While we do regret losing him, we are conscious of his dreams and wish him all the luck.”

Nykaa is currently looking for a new person for the CFO post. The company will let the National Stock Exchange (NSE) know, if it finds someone.
