Google and PeakXV-backed Cuemath has inaugurated its first-ever offline math learning center in Gurgaon. This move comes in response to growing parental demand for in-person math classes, where children can benefit from personalized attention and a heightened focus on written problem-solving. The center was inaugurated by the founder and CEO of Cuemath, Manan Khurma.

The company said that the learning center will be accessible to students from grades K–12 and will play a key role in delivering the finest in-class learning experience with a strong emphasis on engagement and enhancing learning outcomes through the small group class format.

In addition to the network of 5000+ teachers nationally, the edtech has brought in a new set of trained and certified math tutors for the initiative. The newly appointed dedicated team of Cuemath tutors will instruct children face-to-face at the center and offer them real-time guidance while emphasizing the importance of writing for learning math. The center will be operational all seven days a week, allowing parents to enroll their kids aligning with their schedules and other academic pursuits, it added.

The move came months after the firing of 200 employees from the company. Due to weaker demand in online mode, Byju’s and Unacademy have already forayed into the offline mode.

At the inauguration, Manan Khurma, founder and CEO of Cuemath said, “Offline teaching has always been in our DNA, and we began with teachers operating local centers from their homes. Fueled by overwhelming parental demand, we are proud to launch our first offline center in India, driven by our mission to be the best global math learning company.”

The company said it plans to open additional learning centers both nationally and internationally, focusing on regions with a high demand for face-to-face classes. Notably, the US, UK, UAE, Singapore, and India have emerged as significant markets for Cuemath in recent times.

Founded in 2013, Cuemath is an after-school online Maths program catering to students in the K-12 category. Cuemath is backed by Lightrock, Alpha Wave Incubation, Sequoia Capital India, CapitalG (formerly Google Capital), and Manta Ray, and is present in over 80+ countries. The company is certified by Grant Thornton and the curriculum is also STEM and Google for Education-accredited. Cuemath has raised $126 million to date and has a valuation of $407 million today.
