Shiprocket, an e-commerce enablement platform, has announced the integration of its seller app with Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The app will facilitate the onboarding of sellers on the ONDC network.

With this seller app, Shopify-powered stores of merchants will be instantly discoverable on the network. Shiprocket aims to provide sellers with a seamless onboarding and post-support experience on ONDC. This will enable an additional demand channel for sellers at a low cost.

With this, Shiprocket embarks on a new journey of becoming the growth partner for its sellers. While ONDC has a vast catalogue of food and grocery, Shiprocket plans to enable five key categories on ONDC, including beauty and personal care, fashion, electronics and appliances, health and wellness and home and kitchen.

Key brands in these categories are already powering a gross merchandise value (GMV) of upwards of Rs 330 crore on the Shiprocket platform with more than 2,20,000 live stock-keeping units (SKUs). This is just the beginning and by unlocking ONDC for SMEs the potential is immense.

The seller app will streamline order management and inventory tracking and easily identify ONDC orders and allow sellers to monitor their growth effectively. Brands like Giva, Boult Audio, TNW, and many others, are already enriching the ONDC network's catalogue. The integration allows merchant catalogues to be visible across the buyer apps integrated with ONDC, such as Pincode, Paytm, Mystore, E-unimart etc.

The platform is actively onboarding additional sellers and aims to enable over 50 brands to go live on the network by July first week.

Shiprocket's chief executive officer and co-founder, Saahil Goel, said, "Shiprocket was one of the initial players to integrate into the ONDC network and the first one to enable intercity logistics in India. In the last eight months, we've together been able to enable sellers to access new markets, connect with millions of potential customers, and clock revenue generation opportunities. This seller app is our testament to enabling e-commerce for merchants and being their partner in growth from every nook and corner of BHARAT. With the nation marching towards the India@100 dream, we are all set to bolster that growth by equipping the MSME sector with transformative ways of connecting with consumers."

T Koshy, managing director and chief executive officer of ONDC said, "With the e-commerce wave sweeping through the country, we are on a mission to level the playing field for online and offline sellers to ride this wave of success. In this pursuit of enabling ease of doing business for sellers, Shiprocket's seller app will help them sell their products on ONDC seamlessly, securely, and cost-effectively."

The interface enables a seamless onboarding experience for the merchants, offering a new sales channel with the ONDC network. A dedicated support team will be available round the clock, ensuring prompt assistance with any challenges sellers may encounter, from onboarding to troubleshooting.

With over 25 courier partners on board, Shiprocket permits pan-India and international shipping deliveries. Its shipping solutions are available across over 24,000 pin codes within India and more than 220 countries and territories worldwide.

Launched in 2017, Shiprocket aims to create a seamless logistics data platform that connects retailers, carriers, and consumers across national and international locations. It provides a technology stack to help retailers integrate their shopping websites on Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, Zoho, and others with the platform's multi-carrier API to manage orders, prints, and shipping labels.

It also avails tracking information from multiple providers, including managing Cash on Delivery (COD) orders and payment reconciliation. Shiprocket also offers state-of-the-art fulfilment solutions with more than 45 warehouses across India.

Shiprocket is the platform behind more than 2,70,000 sellers who generate a GMV of more than $3 billion annually. The platform delivers more than 220k shipments daily, growing transactions 2.5 to 3X yearly.
