Bobble AI, an AI-powered conversation media platform, has appointed Sahil Deswal as its new chief growth and marketing officer. In the past, he has worked with tech companies like Augnito, Trell, Times Internet, Bigbasket and Mydala. 

At Bobble AI, Deswal will be instrumental in designing and executing brand marketing and growth strategies. He will also play a key role in the company's expansion plans by formulating distribution partnerships with smartphone OEMs and telecom partners in different geographies, including India and Indonesia.  

Deswal’s appointment comes on the heels of big tech companies facing penalties from the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on alleged anti-competitive practices while dealing with smartphone OEMs for preloading their default services. The recent CCI directives has provided a significant growth opportunity for homegrown tech start-ups to prove their mettle by providing alternate innovations to smartphone users and manufacturers. 

With its Bobble keyboard, the start-up claims to challenge the monopolies of tech giants like Google Gboard and Microsoft SwiftKey.

Speaking on Deswal’s appointment, Ankit Prasad, founder and chief executive officer of Bobble AI, said, “Sahil’s extensive knowledge, data-driven approach, problem-solving skills, and commitment to delivering results will undoubtedly be a great asset to our business going forward. Founded in 2015, Bobble AI is a conversation media platform that makes smartphones more expressive, localised and intelligent through deep-tech innovations around typing, languages, content, voice, and camera. The company has filed 13 patents, which are bundled within the Bobble AI smartphone keyboard platform that reach 80 million users across all types and range of smartphone devices in India and Indonesia.
