PMI Electro, an Indian electric commercial vehicle manufacturer, has appointed Aanchal Jain as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO). With a Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University and an MSc in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), Aanchal, according to the company, possesses a unique blend of skills in policy, macro-economy analysis, and business acumen.

As an economist, Jain has demonstrated her ability to drive growth and create impact. With her remarkable leadership and extensive background in economics and technology, Aanchal brings a fresh perspective to PMI Electro's vision of revolutionizing the electric vehicle industry.

Announcing the appointment, Satish Jain, Chairman and Managing Director, of PMI Electro shared, “It gives us pride to bring the second rung of leadership at the country’s largest electric bus OEM with global experience and perspective. Aanchal’s appointment is a reflection of the evolving face of contemporary leadership with the dynamic fusion of global experience, vision and diversity. Her expertise will help PMI steer through new challenges faced by large electric vehicle OEMs in terms of fast-paced growth and capex-hungry financing requirements”.

Aanchal Jain added, “I am delighted to bring global vision and inclusivity to the existing leadership at PMI Electro.  While a lot has been achieved, I want to work towards driving the next phase of growth at PMI Electro through a focussed approach to R&D and use technology to expand the electric commercial vehicle portfolio of PMI. I hope that through technology we will be able to contribute better and participate in the country’s growth in the move towards electrification of mass mobility”.
