Live video shopping platform, Kiko Live has gone live on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) Network as a Seller Network Participant.

The Kiko app facilitates local retailers across categories to manage their delivery orders via phone, WhatsApp, etc. By joining ONDC Network, it aims to tap into a broader customer base nationwide, providing an expanded array of choices for buyers on the network, the company said in its release.

By using its seller App which integrates payment and hyperlocal logistics to enlisted retailers, the merchants will be able to receive orders from a big pool of customers through the ONDC Network.

T Koshy, MD and CEO of ONDC, said, “We are delighted to witness Kiko's remarkable growth on ONDC. We strive to create a transparent e-commerce ecosystem with equal opportunities for all and Kiko's success adds to the vibrancy and success of our Network. With our extensive Network, Kiko stands to solidify its reach and penetration to a bigger market.”

Alok Chawla, founder of Kiko, said, “We're gradually onboarding our list of retailers onto ONDC Network due to the overwhelming surge in orders experienced by them. Some sellers are already receiving 20-25 orders daily without running promotions. Orders are growing at over 100 per cent week on week, leading us to scale our operations and support teams too. Our sellers maintain a near 100 per cent fill rate and successful delivery rate, a trend we aim to sustain during our expansion. Over the next few quarters, we plan to welcome over 50,000 new sellers, particularly first-time online sellers, whom we'll guide to establish sustainable online businesses.”

Established on December 31, 2021, the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is an initiative by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. The goal is to introduce a facilitative model that transforms digital commerce and enhances the presence of retail e-commerce in India. According to recent updates shared in parliament, the ONDC network is operational in 500 towns and cities across the country.
