Bitsila, a seller on the marketplace on ONDC, has raised pre-seed funding from Antler and co-founder of Redbus Phanindra Sama.

The start-up was founded by Dasharatham Bitla, Sooryah Pokkali, and Likhma Ram who previously built Bitla Software, the largest bus operator software with a 70 percent market share in India and 80 million transactions annually. Bitla Software was later acquired by MakeMyTrip.

As a Technology Service Provider (TSP) on ONDC, Bitsila provides the fastest platform for non-digital sellers to establish an online presence, creating branded websites and mobile apps to create customer reach. Bitsila also empowers a diverse ecosystem including large retail houses, brands, logistics service providers, online retail aggregators, and entrepreneurs to become a seller network participant on ONDC.

The company supports seamless integration with over 20+ platforms spanning e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, channel managers such as  Vinculum, Easyecom, Urbanpiper, ERP, and PoS partners such as Petpooja, Dotpe, Wondersoft, 1Pharmacy networks. These integrations allow for any seller to transition online by onboarding them on ONDC in a faster, more efficient way.

Dasharatham Bitla, Founder and CEO of Bitsila, added: “As the largest seller platform and leading seller TSP, our journey on ONDC parallels the UPI moment for digital commerce, poised to rewrite traditional business rules. A 30-minute onboarding of any seller on Shopify to ONDC is under development and could be the QR Code moment for ONDC. We aim to empower 500+ large enterprises as network participants in the next 18 months, enabling a million merchants on their digital commerce journey through ONDC.”

Commenting on the investment, Nitin Sharma, partner at Antler in India, added: “At Antler, we have been early advocates for the game-changing potential of ONDC to allow for a bigger, broader, and more inclusive e-commerce universe in India. Currently, sellers on ONDC  are clocking close to 1.6 lakh transactions per day. For the flywheel to meaningfully take off, millions of offline sellers have to be brought online. Bitsila is the fastest-growing and the largest seller onboarding platform for ONDC. Sellers of any kind can use the Bitsila technology to get on ONDC and boost their business.”

Bitsila is an omnichannel and hyperlocal commerce platform and the largest seller marketplace on ONDC. With seamless integration across 20+ platforms and POS providers, Bitsila facilitates businesses to establish a faster online presence on ONDC, creating branded websites and mobile apps to expand customer reach.
