Alliance Insurance Brokers, an insurance service provider, risk manager and reinsurance broker has joined hands with doorstep delivery company, Dunzo to provide insurance security to its national network of delivery partners. Through this initiative, Alliance Insurance Brokers is providing insurance protection to almost 20,000 delivery partners, insured on a daily basis, while they are active on the platform.

In case of any accident, the policy offers a benefit of Rs 500,000, which includes important aspects like children’s education, business loss reimbursement, accidental hospitalisation expenses, etc. There is also an OPD (Outpatient Department) component to it, wherein the delivery partners receive insurance protection in case the accident does not require hospitalisation and can be treated through OPD consultation and medication.

Dunzo’s delivery partners also receive coverage for the loss of income, during the time period of their hospitalisation and quarantine as a result of Covid. They receive insurance benefits, per day, based on the number of days hospitalised (subject to the consent of the maximum number of days).
