InCred Capital, the institutional arm of InCred Group has appointed three senior executives in its leadership team in Investment Banking. The firm has hired Akbar Khan as Chairman, Advisory, Anjani Kumar as Chairman, Client Coverage and Mahesh Prasad as Managing Director.  

With the addition of these senior executives, InCred Capital aims to bolster its investment banking team further, ramp up deal origination and expand its presence across more sectors.

The company has claimed that Akbar Khan brings more than 20 years of experience in investment banking, corporate merger and acquisitions, consumer and corporate finance, and fintech. He has held senior positions with financial institutions such as Merrill Lynch, GE, and PwC, and has expertise in sell-side advisory, buy-side acquisitions, and business management. During his time at Merrill Lynch, Akbar led TMT investment banking, financial sponsors coverage, and merger and acquisitions across India, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. At GE, he was the head of Corporate Development and merger and acquisitions for India, the Middle East, and North Africa.
 
Anjani Kumar has over 27 years of banking experience spanning mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate finance. He has led the investment banking teams for CIMB and RBS in India. He started his investment banking career with PwC Corporate Finance, followed by ABN AMRO, RBS, CIMB, and o3 Capital. He has also worked overseas in London and HK for over 5 years. Most recently, Anjani was the founder and CEO at Asialink Advisors, a niche advisory outfit focused on cross-border mergers and acquisitions and fundraising.
 
Mahesh Prasad is a career investment banker with over 30 years of experience. Prasad previously worked with Ernst & Young leading their Pharma practice and has also run his boutique firm, Genesis Management Consultancy, for two decades.
