Bengaluru-based Yeshoda Rose Bazaar, which runs floral start-up Hoovu Fresh, has raised Rs 10 million in funding from entrepreneurs Aman Gupta and Peyush Bansal in a recent episode of Shark Tank India.

Founded in 2019 by two sisters, Yeshoda and Rhea Karuturi, the platform delivers fresh flowers by shortening the supply chain and leveraging technology in packaging and innovation.

The sister duo grabbed the funding in the latest edition of the reality show, Shark Tank India.

Currently, in its second season, the show features entrepreneurs pitching business presentations on their start-ups to a panel of investors also called Sharks, who decide whether to invest in the company.

In December 2022, the brand raised Rs 6.45 crore in a pre-series A funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Sauce.vc, as reported by VC Circle.

Hoovu Fresh has operations in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai and its flowers can be ordered via grocery apps. It also offers agarbattis (incense sticks) made out of recycled temple flowers and other puja products on its website.
