TVS Capital Funds has announced that Anuradha Ramachandran has joined it as a managing partner. The rupee capital private equity fund has raised Rs 3000 crores across three funds and made 30 investments.

TVS Capital Funds backs technology-driven businesses in financial services and enterprise services. Its current Fund-3 portfolio includes unicorns like Digit Insurance, Five Star Business Finance and Yubi (CredAvenue).

Ramachandran has more than 22 years of experience across venture capital, having worked with Ventureast, Omidyar Network and Flourish Ventures. A finance journalist, she was also associated with Lazard, a financial advisory and asset management firm that engages in investment banking, asset management and other financial services, primarily with institutional clients. She has led several venture investments in fintech and other tech categories.

Commenting on her joining, Gopal Srinivasan, chairman and managing director at TVS Capital Funds, said, "Anuradha's joining cannot be at a better time when we are doubling down on tech-driven business in two key sectors—digital financial services and digital commerce and enterprise services. In these two sectors, we have earned our right to win by consistently building our capability capital, a large ecosystem of advisors with deep domain expertise, to support founders in building great businesses. With her rich exposure to early-stage enterprises in general and fintech, Anuradha would bring significant thought leadership to our fund and help scale the fund to the next level."

Ramachandran added, "I strongly believe innovation and entrepreneurship can change the lives of millions of individuals and can create massive socio-economic shifts that can benefit a growing economy like India. I see a strong alignment to these core values embedded in TVS Capital's mission. I am delighted to be part of its strong, focused team in its journey of supporting tech-aligned businesses in financial and B2B services."

In the past year, TVS Capital Funds has been systematically strengthening its leadership with the addition of Praveen Sridharan as a partner-investments. Recently, it appointed LN Guru Moorthy as its chief financial officer and partner.

TVS Capital Funds has around Rs 2000 crores of assets under management. Its third fund backs entrepreneurs piloting technology driven businesses in financial services and B2B/enterprise services. The company now plans to raise its next Venture Growth Fund in 2023.
